This project was one of the more challenging projects we’ve taken on in a while.  High-end, complicated work paired with an aggressive schedule is a tough combination in any trade.

Our carpenters and tapers deserve a pat on the back. The finished product speaks for itself and doing high-quality work under that kind of pressure took real talent, grit and a lot of patience.  Seeing how great everything turned out made it all worth it.  We’re very thankful for the chance to be part of such a neat project for a great school and church.

George Weis Company was selected as the framing and plastering contractor for the updates at the Ashely Homestore in O’Fallon, IL where we were tasked with building out, squaring off, and finishing the existing parapet, columns, and canopy to create a new updated look for the storefront. Our carpenters and plasterers delivered excellent craftsmanship throughout the project, and the transformation really shows — from the before photos, through the work‑in‑progress shots, to the finished façade that highlights the quality and detail our team brings to every job.

After a truck damaged this canopy, the owner of this busy reception hall needed a quick turnaround to get the building looking its best again. Our carpenters and plasterers jumped into action, completing the repairs efficiently and restoring the canopy to its original appearance.

Buildings inside of buildings! We are proud to showcase our work progress on the new Collinsville Area Vocational Center (CAVC) Project. Our talented group of tradesmen and women have put a lot of hard work into the project so far and are maintaining it on the home stretch. GWC is proud to be a part of building something that will play a key role in preparing the next generation of tradesmen and women!

George Weis Company has mobilized and we are in full gear at the new Triad Middle School in Troy, IL.  Our great carpenter crew is busy framing and sheathing the exterior walls while at the same time framing and hanging drywall on the interior walls.  Lots of work ahead but a great start to the job!

George Weis Company was selected as the plastering contractor on a new high-end car dealership in Creve Coeur, MO. The exterior features a Smooth EIFS finish, STO Milano, which demands a lot more steps and craftsmanship than traditional EIFS and plastering. Our plasterers absolutely nailed it. Our Plastering Team remodeled this building using a fresh EIFS system to give it a clean, modern, and energy‑efficient exterior. From prep to finish, the transformation speaks for itself. Proud of the craftsmanship our crew brings to every project.

Shoutout to our plastering crew. They just wrapped up a fresh EIFS addition at Northwest Valley Middle School in House Springs, MO —awesome work team!

Our team proudly contributed to the Jerseyville Public Library’s building addition, which nearly doubled the facility’s size while honoring its historic Carnegie style. On the exterior, our plastering crew expertly applied EIFS (Exterior Insulation and Finish System) to look similar the original stonework.  Trying to get EIFS – STO Limestone texture – to replicate the pattern of the existing limestone block made this project uniquely challenging.  This smooth texture, difficult even on simple walls, was applied across 6,250SF of EIFS but had 5,200 linear feet of cut on site V-grooves, creating 1,530ea rectangular blocks (typical 10” x 36”) to mimic real limestone.  1,470ea V grooves hand cut were 10” long or less. 

Inside, our skilled carpenters and tapers were hard at work framing new walls and ceilings, installing drywall, and finishing surfaces with precision taping. We also installed the acoustical ceilings on the project.  We are super grateful to be a part of this project and huge thanks to our dedicated carpenters, tapers and plasterers for their craftmanship and care!
