St. Louis, MO St. Marks Church RemodelJune 5th, 2017

We were selected by Musick Construction as the plastering contractor and drywall contractor on the new St. Mark’s Church addition and remodel at 4230 Ripa Ave, St. Louis, MO 63125.  Our scope of work includes metal stud framing, plastering and plaster repair, GRG ornate cornice work, insulation, stucco, EIFS, and acoustical ceilings.

With the project including a complete remodel of the Nave portion of the church, quality craftsmanship was required in order to install the ornate plaster cornice (made of GRG) throughout the project.   Project started in early 2017, progress pictures below.


Oak Hill Assisted Living CompleteMay 30th, 2017

We have recently completed the new Oak Hill assisted living addition project in Waterloo, IL.  Our scope of work as a subcontractor to Holland Construction included the metal stud framing, drywall, taping, EIFS (Dryvit), and acoustical ceilings.  See below for pictures of the project.


St. Elizabeth’s Hospital – O’Fallon, IL – Work ContinuesDecember 7th, 2016

We’ve been working closely with the Alberici-Holland Joint Venture team in completing the state of the art 144 bed new replacement hospital in O’Fallon, IL at lightning speed.  EIFS has not started but framing of walls and ceilings along with drywall and taping is well underway on all six floors.

All ~105ea prefabricated bathrooms units were completed in a nearby warehouse and installed in the building.

 

 


Davita Dialysis – Nichiha and EIFSDecember 1st, 2016

We have recently completed the shell building for the new Davita Dialysis on Natural Bridge Road in St. Louis, MO.  Our scope of work included the metal stud framing, taping, insulation, EIFS (Dryvit), and Nichiha panels.  See below for pictures of the EIFS and Nichiha.


EIFS Completed on Fazoli’s Mt. Vernon, ILNovember 29th, 2016

Fazoli’s in Mt. Vernon, IL has completed upgrading the exterior of the building with EIFS to ensure the customer experience is the best that it can be, according to the chain’s president.  We worked closely with general contractor ACT Construction to get the EIFS completed within the very short schedule on the project.  The building is almost unrecognizable from before and turned out great, see attached before and after pictures.

EIFS Completed on Kellison Elementary in Fenton, MONovember 21st, 2016

With an extremely short schedule and large amount of work, we were selected to be the plastering contractor on the project with the general contractor Hoff Construction in order to have the new EIFS (Dryvit) cladding over the existing building completed in time for school to open.   The new EIFS cladding was installed over the existing metal panels and will decrease the amount of energy needed to heat and cool the building as well as update the look of the school.

Veneer Plaster – Sugar Creek Fire Department – Trenton, ILNovember 21st, 2016

The Sugar Creek Fire Department in Trenton, IL needed to add additional room for trucks and equipment so they built a spacious 4,200 SF addition.  We worked closely with the general contractor as the drywall and plastering contractor for the project.  Due it’s  durability, speed and many other benefits, sand finish veneer plaster was used on all the walls and ceilings.

Wayne City, IL Pre K-12 School nears completion of Plastering and EIFSMarch 22nd, 2016

We’re working with Holland Construction Services on the new 105,000 SF $6.9 million Wayne City, IL Pre K-12 school which will be completed at the end of the summer.   The acoustical ceilings are currently being installed along with finishing up the veneer plaster on the project.  Due to the very high durability, aesthetic appeal, scheduling advantages and many other benefits, the majority of the school is finished with veneer plaster.  Being the plastering contractor on the project we are also installing Dryvit EIFS on the exterior canopies.

 


St. Elizabeth’s Hospital Begins – O’fallon, ILMarch 15th, 2016

George Weis Company was selected to work with the Alberici-Holland joint venture to build the new St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon, IL as the interior finishes contractor.  Scope of work includes interior and exterior steel stud framing, drywall, taping, radiation protection, sound and thermal insulation, misc. rough carpentry work, and Dryvit (EIFS Plastering).

First National Bank Steeleville CompleteFebruary 8th, 2016

First National Bank of Steeleville’s new building is complete.  George Weis Company’s scope of work consisted of steel stud framing, drywall, finish taping, exterior continuous insulation sheathing and air barrier, insulation, acoustical ceilings.

 


St Louis County Library – Jamestown Bluffs BranchFebruary 5th, 2016

Moving on to our next library renovation, the Jamestown Bluffs branch is now complete and open to the public!  This particular branch features many radius walls in the interior as well as heavy gauge stud framing for new window openings at the exterior of the building.  The finished product, as seen in the pictures below, is a beautiful, bright, and modern library.  In addition, we applied a new Direct Applied Finish System (EIFS) at the entrance soffit.  (Pictures courtesy of SLCL)

 


Weber Road Library RenovationJanuary 15th, 2016

Next up on our St Louis County Library update is the Weber Road Library Branch.  The branch had a complete interior renovation and our work comprised of the metal studs, drywall, taping, and insulation.  The highlight of our work for this branch can be seen below and consisted of several intricate drywall ceilings with circular openings.  We also re-plastered the exterior soffit around the entire building to give the exterior an updated look to match the newly renovated interior. St Louis County Library – Grant’s View Branch Is Open!January 8th, 2016

George Weis Company is pleased to announce the completion of the Grant’s View Library branch.  We have worked closely with General Contracting firm SM Wilson, Bond Architects, and the St Louis County Library throughout the project and the final product can be seen in the pictures below.  Our work included steel studs, drywall, taping, and EIFS (plaster).  Check back soon for news and pictures of our work on the recent renovations of the St Louis County Library branches of Weber Road, Jamestown Bluffs, Indian Trails, and Rock Road. Albers, IL EIFS Addition and repairNovember 25th, 2015

George Weis was the plastering contractor on the new addition to the Behrmann Meat and Processing store.  We installed the new EIFS over the store addition and patched the existing damaged EIFS to match the new and the existing as close as possible.  Racing against winters colder temperatures we were able to get it completed on schedule.


New EIFS Home in Town and Country, MOOctober 16th, 2015

George Weis Company is working as the plastering contractor for Frank Construction to install the Dryvit (EIFS) on a new home in Town and Country, MO.

The project utilizes a combination of Stone and EIFS creating a beautiful looking entry with large windows.  It features many reveals, changes in colors and thicknesses available with EIFS making it look very appealing.


Gander Mountain Chesterfield, MO EIFSAugust 27th, 2015

George Weis Company is beginning construction for the general contractor TCI out of Wisconsin on the new Gander Mountain in Chestefield, MO.  We were chosen as the plastering contractor for the EIFS work as well as the steel stud framing of exterior and interior walls, drywall, taping, insulation, and drop ceilings.   With an unusual amount weather delays and unforeseen site conditions pushing the already extremely aggressive schedule behind,  we are looking forward to the challenge of getting our work complete in time so the store can open as scheduled.

 


Wayne City School BeginsJuly 31st, 2015

After a very wet June work at the new Wayne City School is moving ahead as planned.  George Weis Company was chosen by the school and Holland Construction Services to perform installation of drywall, Dow Thermax air barrier system, exterior and interior insulation, and interior sand finish veneer plaster, fire proofing, and acoustical (drop) ceilings.


Regions Bank Arnold, MO – EIFS Plastering ContractorJuly 24th, 2015

George Weis Company is beginning construction for Musick Construction on the new Regions bank being built in Arnold, MO.  Our work includes the steel stud framing of exterior and interior walls, drywall, taping, insulation and installing the Dryvit EIFS system (plaster) over plywood sheathing.  Work is well underway and the structural steel is nearly complete.


St. Louis County Library – Grant’s View BranchMay 19th, 2015

George Weis Company has been selected as the drywall and plastering (EIFS) contractor for the new Grant’s View Library located on Musick Avenue in St. Louis, MO.  We will be working with the construction manager, SM Wilson, and the St Louis County Library to construct the eagerly awaited Grant’s View Library Branch.  Our work includes the steel studs, exterior sheathing, EIFS (plaster), insulation, drywall, and taping.


Lucky’s Market, St Louis, MO – Steel Studs and Plastering (EIFS) CommencesApril 7th, 2015

George Weis Company is pleased to announce that it has been chosen by Holland Construction Services as the drywall and plastering (EIFS) contractor for the Lucky’s Market project.  Our work includes the steel stud framing of exterior walls and installing the STO EIFS system (plaster) over Densglass sheathing.  Work is well underway and the exterior walls are complete.  Check back soon for pictures of the completed STO EIFS system as we prepare to welcome Lucky’s Market to the St. Louis area!
